4.21.15 - Champlain Hudson power project scores final federal siting permit

"Transmission Developers Inc. announced Tuesday that it has scored the last of the federal and state siting permits needed to move forward with building the Champlain Hudson Power Express, a 333-mile buried transmission line running from Quebec to New York City to provide cheap hydropower power for the nation’s largest metropolis. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has issued a Department of Army permit for the project, which was first proposed in 2008."
