"Representatives from luxury electric carmaker Tesla Inc. and officials at Farmingdale State College are expected Tuesday to announce a new collaboration to create training and career opportunities for automotive technology graduates on Long Island."
"The public-private agreement would provide internships to students nearing graduation from Farmingdale’s two-year technical program or the four-year automotive management program."
“Great jobs in automotive technology and sustainable transportation do exist on Long Island, we just need more of them,” Farmingdale State College President John S. Nader said in a statement Monday. “By offering our students internships that have a high likelihood of leading to rewarding careers, Tesla is closing this loop.”
