' The NYS Mesonet celebrated its 5-year anniversary of operation at the Belleville-Henderson CSD on April 20, 2023, in conjunction with the school district and local news outlets. The NYS Mesonet operates a standard and flux site on the school campus, as well as the upper-air profiler site on the school’s rooftop. The celebration included remarks by NYS Mesonet Director Chris Thorncroft, Ph.D, and Junhong Wang, Ph.D, Program Manager of the Mesonet, a weather balloon launch by our Ops Center student intern Erik Creighton and Field Technician Sam Cherubin.
