6.24.20 - Developer of NY transmission project launches solicitation, considers expansion
'The developers of the proposed 1,000-MW Champlain Hudson Power Express transmission line in New York said June 23 the line could be expanded by 250 MW if it becomes oversubscribed as part of an open solicitation for capacity that will run until Aug. 14.'
'In a major step forward for the project which has been in development for years, Transmission Developers Inc. — owned by private equity firm The Blackstone Group Inc. — said it will begin conducting an open solicitation process for transmission capacity on the 333-mile, underground and underwater high-voltage direct-current transmission line.'
