4.20.15 - Albany legislators to state: Pass bill opening NY to ridesharing
"Twenty-five Albany County legislators have signed on to a proclamation urging the state Legislature to pass a bill that would allow those who drive for ridesharing companies like Uber and Lyft to obtain insurance, exempt “transportation network companies” from taxi and livery certain requirements outside of New York City (for what it’s worth, it’s infinitely harder to do the same in the city) and exempt drivers from other restrictions placed on those who want to drive a taxi."
