In an effort to support a first-of-its-kind city legislation that will give independent contractors the same rights as nine-to-fivers, activists are inviting freelancers to submit the “world’s largest invoice.”
"The online invoice will act as a symbolic running tally for workers to add what they say is money owed them for jobs in which they were never paid. It’s officially launching Monday, but the tab is already at $13,556."
