3.06.15 - Con Ed details progress on its Brooklyn-Queens program

"Con Edison has spent $1.2 million and taken the first concrete steps in a program it hopes will be a testing ground for the state's plan to overhaul the energy grid. The estimated $250 million Brooklyn-Queens Demand Management program, or BQDM, was proposed as a way to generate 52 megawatts of energy efficiency and avoid spending roughly $1 billion on a new substation and transmission lines in the area."
