12.02.16 - Montreign Resort Casino considers brand change
"Sullivan County may have to memorize a new name for its highly anticipated destination casino resort. Empire Resorts, owner and operator of Montreign Resort Casino, has been approved by the New York Gaming Commission to move forward in discussions of a branding agreement with Resorts World, a Malaysia-based resort company."
"In a brief report filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Nov. 18, publicly traded Empire informed investors that it is in discussion with affiliates of Kien Huat Realty to use Resorts World trademarks for the Montreign project. Kien Huat is Empire's largest stockholder, and is also part of the Genting Group, which owns Resorts World."
