'At the SOMOS conference in Puerto Rico, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced the appointment of University at Albany President Dr. Havidán Rodríguez to serve as Executive Director of the State University of New York Hispanic Leadership Institute. President Rodríguez, who will start his term on January 1, 2020, will be charged with developing and supporting the next generation of executive-level Latino leaders across the SUNY system. As the largest comprehensive public system of higher education in the United States, SUNY has boldly committed to become the most inclusive university system in the country.'
