11.17.14 - Freelancers Union pairs with Empire Blue Cross to offer health insurance plans
"If you have health insurance with the Freelancers Union, there are big changes ahead.
The union will no longer be offering its own insurance. Instead, starting in 2015, it has partnered with Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield to offer plans.
The secret sauce for this insurance: Members can go to two no-co-pay medical centers, one in downtown Brooklyn and the other in the Financial District. Perks include free health coaches, yoga and meditation."
