1.19.21 - Budget calls for licensing of 3 casinos
'Gov. Andrew Cuomo called for three new casinos in New York as a part of his budget proposal on Tuesday, adding to anticipation that one or more will be granted downstate.'
'While the legislation does not specifically say that the downstate region will be considered, it opens the door for one or more casinos for that part of the state. The proposal calls for the state to submit a request for information from interested parties, and they will then be chosen based on their value.'
