04.09.2025 ArchCare Celebrates Grand Opening of St. Frances Cabrini Apartments at Immaculate Conception Church, Expanding Integrated Housing for Neurodiverse Adults in New York
TUCKAHOE, NY, April 9, 2025 — Today, ArchCare, the Archdiocese of New York’s healthcare system that every day cares for thousands of adults and individuals with special needs, marked the official opening of ArchCare at St. Frances Cabrini Apartments, its second independent, integrated housing development for neurodiverse adults. The ribbon-cutting ceremony and blessing took place at Immaculate Conception Church, where His Eminence Timothy Michael Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York, joined ArchCare leadership, elected officials, community members, and tenants with their families to celebrate the milestone.
The St. Frances Cabrini Apartments build on ArchCare’s commitment to repurposing underutilized church properties into affordable and inclusive housing for vulnerable populations. The project follows the success of ArchCare at St. Teresa, which opened in January 2020 on Staten Island as the organization’s first supportive housing community for neurodiverse and neurotypical adults, including people with autism.
