New York has never waited for others to define its future. Now, Albany has an opportunity to lead the Northeast in one of the most important climate challenges ahead: decarbonizing aviation.
Air travel is essential to New York’s economy, and yet aviation is one of the hardest sectors to decarbonize. Aircraft cannot simply plug into the grid.
At Delta, we are not waiting. We are taking meaningful steps to reduce our carbon footprint. We are engineering aircraft cabins and interiors to be lighter, reducing fuel burn. We are investing in newer, more fuel-efficient aircraft. Where infrastructure allows, we are transitioning to electric ground support equipment to cut emissions on the tarmac.
