02.27.2026 Bally’s scores the Bronx parkland needed for its new casino in $157M deal
Bally’s, which emerged victorious from last year’s cutthroat competition for a downstate casino license, has taken a major step toward developing its winning proposal.
The gaming company has purchased nearly 20 acres of East River-adjacent public parkland in the Bronx where it intends to build its mixed-use gambling resort from the city for $156.6 million, according to a deed that appeared in the city register Friday.
